Cranelli's, Lone Tree, Colorado

Cranelli's Italian Restaurant provides the charm that only a family-owned place can deliver. It's location is off the beaten path, You'll find Cranelli's in the building structure of the Waterford Apartments, off on a corner, therefore this little gem is easy to miss! A cozy Italian place that will make you feel like you'll see Frank, Dino, and Sammy pop out from the back at any moment.

Cranellis is owned by local husband-wife team Jimmy and Lasinda, who have over twenty years of restaurant experience. They have done an excellent job with this place. Let's take a look at the stats!

THE STATS:

Atmosphere: Charming, semi-romantic, infused with energy! Because of its location in the Waterford Apartments of Lone tree, as soon as you pull up you feel like you have accidentally ran into a treasure. Cranelli's has an expansive dining room and a cute bar that seats about 10. The service is top-notch. As soon as we walked in, we headed straight to the bar, our favorite dining spot for date night!

Music they play: Stevie Nicks, Gypsy.

When to go: They have Happy Hour 2-5 DAILY! I suggest you roll in no later than 430PM without a reservation, else you may not be able to find a spot. Cranelli's always seems to have a good crowd no matter the time.

What to wear: Jeans and nice activewear works. I would say it's semi-casual. It's a chill place, but you want to look put together. Patrons at Cranelli's look like they have taken their time to look nice ;-)

What to eat: Pastas, Crust Pies, Calzones, Stromboli's, Sandwiches, Salads, they have an extensive menu of options. Their marinara is OUTSTANDING.

Samm ordered the Pasta Diablo with Italian Sausage (small portion). Sautéed spinach, red onions, garlic & crushed red peppers, in their house-made marinara & béchamel sauce, spiced up with sriracha and tossed with spaghetti. It was a delight!

(Salad was big! It looks small in this pic!)

I had the house salad, entree size (this size will fill you up without a doubt), with sauteed shrimp and Italian dressing. My salad was fresh and crisp and the shrimp was exquisite.

Order the garlic knots if you are feeling spicy! The dough is spectacular.

What to drink: They have an Italian Margarita that you must try! They make gorgeous signature cocktails and have a decent variety of wines.

I opted for the House Chardonnay which didn't disappoint. It was an easy drinker perfect for a warm afternoon. Samm Ordered the Super Tuscan Red, which was also very good.

Overall experience: Always a good time at Cranelli's! A cozy, energic evening of great pasta and wine delivered with top notch service! If you have not tried Cranelli's, today is the perfect day to roll in for a happy hour special!

Total Bill post tip and tax: $92.72 (Two entrees & four adult beverages).

XOXO, Samm & Ana, your favorite Denver Date Night couple!
